About Kalap Trust
Named after a small village, Kalap, where the organisation was established, the trust works with local communities in the Upper Tons Valley in Uttarakhand, India, to implement education, health and conservation initiatives.
Kalap Trust runs an 'afterSchool' in the village of Kalap, recruiting highly skilled professionals to teach the local children everyday after regular school hours, and full-time during the holidays.
The trust has recently set up a community health clinic which aims to serve the primary healthcare needs of 20,000 people living in 35 villages in the remote region. To donate to the cause please click the link below.
Kalap Trust acts as a facilitator to provide technical and non technical inputs to local shepherd herders. The organisation is currently implementing a 1-year pilot project supported by the “TATA TRUSTS". The project has been initiated in six villages of the Upper Tons Valley.
