UTSAAH relies solely on the hard work, time and effort of a small number of key volunteers. These dedicated individuals enable operations, events and fundraising to take place, playing an integral role in the delivery of UTSAAHs activities. Dr. Arun Harish
Born and raised in Bangalore, India, Arun moved to the UK in 2002. Passionate about the Himalayas and supporting its mountain people, Arun established UTSAAH in 2016 and took up the role of chair-person. In his day job, Arun is the Director of Strategy at CPI, a UK technology innovation centre. He holds a PhD in Medical Nanotechnologies from Newcastle University’s Medical School and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
Sunil is a dedicated volunteer for multiple social change initiatives across the Himalayas. He spends his time traveling from Kashmir to Arunachal working with grassroots communities, developing collectives for environment conservation, micro enterprise development, education, skill development and advocacy.
Radhika is chartered accountant at Sage Group. Coming from a philanthropic family, the seed to support others was sown at an early age and resulted in her taking up the position as Treasurer for UTSAAH in 2017. Radhika also took on the role of communication lead in 2019. Through UTSAAH Radhika has the opportunity to use her diverse skillset in a different context and, ultimately, make a positive contribution to the lives of underserved Himalayan communities.
Rosalyn has been UTSAAH's honorary secretary since 2017 and took on the role of fundraising lead in 2019. In her day job, Rosalyn works for Youth Business International, a global NGO that supports underserved young people to start their own businesses. She has a Masters in International Development from LSE.
Passionate about Social Responsibility. Gon is a registered nurse based in Edinburgh with an active career in the Third Sector. Besides his role as trustee for UTSAAH, he also acts as Research and Innovation lead for First Aid Africa and is a member of the Organising Commity of the 16 Days of Action Against Gender-based Violence in Edinburgh.
